The Jets are coming off a frustrating 4-2 loss to the Predators last night in which they were not able to replicate the success they had on Monday against the Capitals. Big question ahead of the skate was going to be the health status of Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi.
Skate news:
Everyone was present and accounted for this morning except Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi although the two did take part in the team photo. Also no Vlad Namestnikov.
Lines & D pairs:
Connor-Gustafsson-Iafallo
Ehlers-Monahan-Toffoli
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Kupari-Perfetti
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Miller
Stanley-Schmidt
Hellebuyck & Brossoit
Goalie plan vs Ducks:
Jets bench boss Rick Bowness confirmed Laurent Brossoit starts.
Health updates:
Rick Bowness said he hopes Mark Scheifele will play tomorrow. Said he was feeling better and was able to eat last night/today so they’ll see how he feels tomorrow AM. He also indicated that Vlad Namestnikov didn’t participate in the skate as he took a shot off the foot last night but he does expect him to play tomorrow. And he confirmed Gabriel Vilardi is out.
