The Jets are back in Winnipeg today following a 3-2 OT win over the Hawks last night in Chicago. With the win the Jets are within one point of top spot in the Central as the Stars have lost two straight (and they also have three games on hand on both Dallas and Colorado).
Skate news:
It was expected to be a highly optional practice today as the Jets got back a little late than they thought they might from Chicago. Despite this as per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press 15 of 22 players on the active roster with the team (reminder David Gustafsson is with the Moose although he does remain on the roster) took to the ice.
He indicated they were: Scheifele, Perfetti, Iafallo, Niederreiter, Connor, Vilardi, Ehlers, Barron, Kupari, Pionk, Schmidt, Stanley, Demelo, Samberg, Brossoit.
Lineup news:
Head coach Rick Bowness confirms that Nate Schmidt returns to the lineup with Logan Stanley coming out. He also confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck starts in net.
