The Jets will get some practice time in this month (which is good because next month they play 16 games in 29 days which translates to almost no practice time) as they go for a second straight day of practice in Winnipeg following the Player and All-Star breaks. The time away from the rink came at a good time for this team as it allowed players to heal up including top centre Mark Scheifele who has missed the last six games but seems ready to go and Brenden Dillon, who left the game against the Leafs, but also seems like he is good to go. Of course for 55 to come off IR the Jets need to make a roster move which means placing a player on waivers.

Yesterday we heard from new Jets centre Sean Monahan and there was plenty of excitement from him at the opportunity before him and from his new teammates and head coach as to what he can bring to the roster.

Everyone is present and accounted for this morning including Connor Hellebuyck.

Waivers:

Rick Bowness wasn’t prepared to reveal who will be on waivers once they remove Mark Scheifele from IR but it seems like Dominic Toninato filling it as the 8th defenceman could be a tell. But as he often says “we’ll see” who ends up being the player getting sent to the Moose.
