The Jets are coming off a big 4-2 over the Lightning last night and the team was planning to have an optional skate this morning at Canada Life before they take off on the mentors trip to California and Arizona.

Skate news:

Pretty optional skate this AM for the Jets before they take off for California.

Kyle Connor and David Gustafsson in yellow, non-contact.

Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari both in regular jerseys.

Also skating Declan Chisholm, Gabriel Vilardi, Mark Scheifele, AJF, Logan Stanley & Laurent Brossoit

Skate video:

Kyle Connor continues to work his way back from the knee injury he suffered back on December 10th in Anaheim. His skating looked good today.

Up next:

The Jets will head to California to start their three-game road trip in San Jose. Don’t forget to start your day with the Jets morning papers at 7 AM, stick with us for updates throughout the day and then join us on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.
