The Jets started the post-holiday portion of their schedule with a 2-1 OT loss to the Hawks on Wednesday night and will prepare today for a big home and home set against division rival Minnesota which gets underway in Winnipeg on Saturday afternoon.
The Wild have been on a roll winning four straight, going 7-3-0 in their last ten games as they try to make up ground in the Central division. They sit eight points back of Winnipeg which is what makes the next two games very big.
Skate news:
As per Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun the Jets began practice working on the power play which isn’t a surprise. He indicated no David Gustafsson, who was a late scratch in Chicago is not skating and that Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari were participating in non-contact jerseys.
