The Jets schedule for today wasn’t clear last night so it wasn’t known if they were gonna already be in New York getting ready for the game tomorrow night against the Rangers. Instead the team decided to stay in balmy Tampa and practice there before heading to the Empire State later today.
Skate news:
As per Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV no Pierre-Luc Dubois at the practice. He had a bit of an awkward bump in the last game. He also said that Cole Perfetti was skating with assistant coach Jamie Kompon before skate began.

Health news:
As per interim head coach Dave Lowry the update on Pierre-Luc Dubois is that it is just a maintenance day today. Not unsurprisingly the answer regarding Cole Perfetti makes it look like him playing again this season is unlikely with just a couple of weeks left in the season. The Jets bench boss had this to say about the 2020 1st rounder “He’s just going to continue to skate sparingly as part of his rehab process. He’ll skate for a couple of days, take a day off see how he feels and just move forward like that.”
