The Jets returned home from four games on the road with just three points in the standings bank. Tough results given they had the lead in Dallas and it was a tie game in Calgary with under one minute remaining in the 3rd period. No time to lament what was as they face four clubs here in Winnipeg over the next week or so.

Skate news:

To the joy of his teammates and fans the smiling face of Nikolaj Ehlers was back on the ice skating in a non-contact uniform according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press. It is an optional practice but there were still 14 guys skating (including Ehlers) according to Mike and they are listed below.

Players taking part:

G: Hellebuyck, Comrie
D: Schmidt, Stanley, Beaulieu, Samberg
F: Copp, Svechnikov, Harkins, Vesalainen, Poganski, Brooks, Suess, Ehlers (in non-contact)

Coach media availability:

Apparently interim head coach Dave Lowry took the optional today which means no health updates. Will have to wait for tomorrow after morning skate.

Up next:

The Jets will look to get a streak going when the Habs come to town on Tuesday.
