The Jets are scheduled to hit the ice following last night’s 3-2 OT loss to the Sharks which finished off a three-game homestand that saw Winnipeg pick up five of six points.
Practice Notes:
A few players missing from today’s skate according to Mike Sawatsky of the Winnipeg Free Press including Bryan Little and the player everyone is curious about Josh Morrissey. Looks like we will have to wait until coach Maurice speaks to know his status.
Audio:
Dustin Byfuglien
Laurent Brossoit
Coach Maurice: On Byfuglien. Status of Josh Morrissey? Update on Bryan Little. Is flu running through the room? Everyone healthy other than Josh? How unique is this Patrik Laine situation? Like the way Laine is playing (other than the lack of scoring)? What is the next step with Laine? Is Laine down? Does Byfuglien’s return impact Morrissey’s availability? Do they change their approach going east? Goalie plan? Would he put Byfuglien back with Chiarot?

Health News:
Dustin Byfuglien is back in the lineup according to coach Maurice. With respect to Josh Morrissey “I don’t even know that I’ll list him as day to day. That sounds like there’s an injury. I’m not sure whether he’s playing tomorrow or not, we’ll have to wait to see how he comes. I don’t expect it to be long term but like Ben Chiarot and Dustin I’m not gonna put him back in the lineup ’til we’re really comfortable with where he is at.” Last up was Bryan Little who has missed the last two days of practice but that is simply a flu bug “he was fine to skate today but we gave him a day off sweating.”
