Health news:
Coach Maurice confirms that goalie Steve Mason has suffered a concussion. This is the second time this season that Mason has suffered this injury. Adam Lowry indicated that he will be watching both games this weekend but he is coming along and thinks he is “a bit of a ways away”. Coach Maurice said he is hopeful the California trip is an option for Lowry. With respect to Shawn Matthias Jets bench boss Paul Maurice indicated that he is “day-to-day, we don’t think it is overly significant but it didn’t progress how we had hoped over the week.” While Mark Scheifele isn’t expected for awhile coach Maurice said “is doing well. Coming a long. But he’s still in the middle of his time frame so he is right where we think he should be.”.

Coach Maurice: Health updates. Key focal point for today’s practice. Is it helpful that the Flames are coming off their five-day break? How does he plan on using Michael Hutchinson? No problems from today’s practice? On Mason’s second concussion this season. On how it happened? How concerning that two in rather quick succession? On Hutchinson’s demeanor. On Roslovic’s game and usage?
