The Jets had a day off yesterday which meant the question most folks were wondering wouldn’t be answered until today.  That question was concerning the health status of Adam Lowry, Mathieu Perreault and Dmitry Kulikov.  Lowry missed the last game for Winnipeg against Carolina with an upper-body injury while both Perreault and Kulikov were hurt in that game on Saturday night.

Update from skate:

According to Jamie Thomas of Jets TV the team has placed Mathieu Perreault on IR and recalled Kyle Connor.  Connor has three goals and two assists in four games for the Manitoba Moose this season.  The entire Jets coaching staff attended yesterday’s Moose game and clearly they liked what they saw from the second year pro.

Via Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg we learn that Lowry & Kulikov are also not on ice for practice. Kyle Connor is skating on a line with Bryan Little and Patrik Laine. Matt Hendricks is taking part in a non-contact jersey.  Courtesy of Brian we get the full picture from Jets practice in terms of lines and D pairs.

Health News:

Coach Maurice has indicated that Mathieu Perreault will be out four weeks.  He indicated that “Dmitry (Kulikov) had a really good morning today so I don’t have an exact number.  I thought that he’d be in that two week range but it might quite a bit less.  He had a real strong morning this morning.  That one I’m not 100% sure on.”  With respect to Lowry and Hendricks he said he wouldn’t have either of them in tomorrow’s lineup meaning the earliest they could play would be Friday.  Coach added that if not then he is confident they would be ready for the next set of games following the Wild game on Friday.

Goalie News:

Coach Maurice also indicated that Steve Mason will start against the Blue Jackets.
