Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

The Jets hit the ice for a skate today in Columbus at Nationwide Arena as they get ready for the final road game of the season against the Blue Jackets tomorrow night.  Recently recalled Eric Comrie joined Michael Hutchinson and Connor Hellebuyck on the ice according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun.  Ken also indicated that missing from skate are Dustin Byfuglien, Jacob Trouba, Mark Stuart and Chris Thorburn.

Following skate Ken indicated that there will be some NHL debuts on Thursday as Eric Comrie gets the start and Columbus native Jack Roslovic will also get his first NHL start.

Jack Roslovic:  Getting a chance to make his NHL debut in his hometown.  When did he find out?  Did he find himself looking at the calendar thinking this could be the game he gets?  What parts of his game has grown the most this season?  What will it be like for the rest of the day?  How big is his guest list?  On how he got into hockey as a young kid.  When did hockey become his passion?  Who were his favourite players growing up?

Coach Maurice:  What went into the decision to recalling Eric Comrie and is he playing?  What has he heard about Comrie’s development this season with the Moose?  Does a goalie get the same speech for his NHL debut?  Will Roslovic play tomorrow?  What kind of reports has he gotten on Jack Roslovic?  On what it means to Columbus to make his debut in his home market?  Was that part of the timing of Roslovic’s recall?  Did he ever see Roslovic play when he was in Columbus?  Did Hutchinson play his final game of the season?  Is Kyle Connor playing?  Tyler Myers status?  Any concerns with the players not on the ice today?
