Winnipeg Jets place Ville Heinola and Walker Duehr on waivers

The Jets have to submit their 23-man roster to the NHL on Monday at 4 PM CDT and today was the final day for waivers in order to be compliant.

According to the folks at Puck Pedia the Jets have placed Ville Heinola and Walker Duehr on waivers for purposes of assignment to the Moose.

The news that the Finnish defender is on waivers is big as the 2019 first rounder has been a player that hasn’t really been able to reset since his rookie year.

Provided the South Dakota product clears waivers, he will add more depth to a Moose club that should be vastly improved from last year’s team.

This leaves Winnipeg with one move left to make to get roster compliant as they currently sit with 24 players.  The likely candidates are Brad Lambert and/or Parker Ford.
