Winnipeg Jets place Dylan Coghlan on waivers

We were wondering when the Jets would make a waiver move or if they’d avoid that by sending Nikita Chibrikov down as they started to get healthy. We’ve learned via Elliotte Friedman that the team has placed right-shot defenceman Dylan Coghlan on waivers which likely signals that either Nikolaj Ehlers or David Gustafsson are ready to come off IR.

Coghlan has only played one game for Winnipeg this season although he looked good in that one contest. If he gets down to Manitoba he will provide some stability for a backend that could use a veteran defender.
