Winnipeg Jets place Austin Poganski on waivers

With the Jets getting back to health, including the imminent return of Nikolaj Ehlers, it means that they need to make some moves. Today they placed Austin Poganski on waivers as per Cap Friendly.

Since being recalled from the Moose the right shot winger has played 16 games for Winnipeg and has no points.

If he clears waivers he will add some additional firepower to a Manitoba club that is getting back to full health. Suddenly the Manitoba forward group has some scoring depth with Gustafsson, Malott, Eyssimont, Suess, Maier & maybe Poganski. They rank 20th in the AHL in goals scored but 7th in winning %.

The return of Ehlers will still require Winnipeg to make some additional moves (move Perfetti/Reichel to LTIR) in order to be cap compliant.
