As if the loss to the Wild wasn’t bad enough for Winnipeg, head coach Rick Bowness provided some more bad news for his club as he indicated that centre Pierre-Luc Dubois wouldn’t be leaving with the team on their three-game road trip.
The good news is that while he won’t travel, bench boss Rick Bowness said they are hopeful he can join them during the trip.
When asked if he had a setback, Bowness indicated:
“No it’s a totally different injury. It’s an upper-body injury.”
When asked for clarity as to when he suffered the injury he replied “last game” which was the OT loss to the Sharks. That was Dubois first game back after missing the previous three contests.
The Jets have a very tough road trip coming up which begins in Florida against the Panthers, continues in Tampa against the Lightning and concludes with the Hurricanes in Carolina.
