Winnipeg Jets pick Jump by Van Halen as new goal song

We learned last month that the Jets would be choosing a new goal song for the 2016-17 season.  Prior to this season they used “Hell Yeah” by Rev Theory and then last season they used “Shout” by the Isley Brothers.  Perhaps the former song was too contemporary (2008) and the latter song was too old (1959).

So what would make sense?  Somewhat fittingly, with the Heritage Classic approaching, the team chose to go with an all-time classic for Jets 1.0 fans in choosing Jump by Van Halen.

Last night we didn’t just hear it once but five times. How do you feel about the new goal song that was picked for the Winnipeg Jets?
