Winnipeg Jets Patrik Laine and Tyler Myers chat Heritage Classic

Patrik Laine and Tyler Myers went to check out the ice at Investor’s Group Field in advance of the Heritage Classic.  They spoke to the media afterwards:

Patrik Laine:  Little cold?  First impressions of the Heritage Classic field.  Rivalry with Jesse Puljujärvi.  Playing well in front of Finnish legends like Selanne, Kurri.  Did he idolize any Finnish hockey players as a kid?  How much did he play outside when he was growing up in Finland?  Lots of family in town?  How did he celebrate his hat-trick?  What kind?  Having gone a few games without a point, how much pressure did he put on himself?  Does he himself as a player who comes up big in the big moments?  Is Sunday’s game a special one?  Has the entire NHL experience been overwhelming?

Tyler Myers:  First impressions of the field?  The ending to last night’s game.  Who does he have coming in for the game?  What will it be like playing a game here?  When was last time he played outside?  Where was last place he played outside?  Pretty intimate stadium.  Will it be weird not having anyone right up against the glass?  Long break between games.  Any reports from guys who have played outdoors?  Did he get a chance to meet Hedberg/Nilsson?  How much does the Alumni game interest the players?  Is he excited to see his coach Charlie Huddy get onto that ice?
