Winnipeg Jets Nino Niederreiter will be flag bearer for Switzerland at Winter Olympics opening ceremony

Four Jets players were honoured last night in Winnipeg prior to puck drop as it was the final game before the Olympic break.

The games opening ceremonies are on Friday with men’s hockey games getting underway next week.

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press is down in Italy and he broke the news today that Nino Niederreiter will be the flag bearer for Switzerland at Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Quite the honour for him.
