Winnipeg Jets Nikolaj Ehlers left day 2 of training camp with neck spasms

Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers left the ice today on day 2 of training camp but it wasn’t clear to those of us watching why he left early.

After skate we learned from head coach Rick Bowness that the dynamic winger was dealing with neck spasms that started up yesterday. He indicated that Ehlers “tried to get through practice, obviously it didn’t work” and that they will hold him off the ice tomorrow as a precaution.

Said the hope is he will be back on Saturday.
