Winnipeg Jets Neal Pionk fined 5K for clipping Jesper Boqvist

Some folks saw the hit as old school hipcheck. If you missed it here it was:

But the NHL is not one of those people apparently as they have fined Neal Pionk five thousand dollars for what they call a clip on Jesper Boqvist. According to the Department of Player Safety that was the maximum allowable under the CBA.

What say you? Fair or foul?
