Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Mar 18, 2026

Note: The Jets and Preds did battle last night in Winnipeg which concluded eight straight games in the Manitoba capital. Winnipeg finishes with a 5-2-1 record which puts them four back of a playoff spot after they fought back but lost in a shootout to Nashville. They are travelling today to Boston where they will take on the Bruins on Thursday. The question is whether they will be snagging a forward from the Moose for the three-game road trip since they only have 12 healthy ones (and none of the injured ones are expected back anytime soon).

Note II: If you’re near downtown Winnipeg today and you hear the sound of 6000+ screaming kids it’s because the Moose are kicking off their homestand with a school day game against the Admirals. These are always great to engage the fans of tomorrow who get part of the day off school to watch some hockey. Puck drop is at 10:30 AM CT and we’ll have all the coverage covered live.
