Note: The Jets were looking to end the pre-Olympic break on a high note and given how they played through 15 minutes of the 1st period last night against the Canadiens it appeared they were gonna make that happen. But hockey is a 60 minute (or longer) game and Montreal (with a whole load of fans inside CLC) took over the game en route to a 5-1 victory. Winnipeg are now on Olympic break.
Note II: The Moose left for Texas on Wednesday as they get ready for a big Central Division showdown with the Stars which starts on Friday. We expect a boost to their roster, which has won five of their last six, with the return of Elias Salomonsson and Isaak Phillips based on what Scott Arniel had to say yesterday. Today, they are scheduled to practice.
Note III: Over in the OHL, Jets prospect Kevin He (2024 4th) followed up his five point (2G 3A) night last game with a 3G performance for Flint. Across the country in the WHL, it was a hat trick of assists for Jets prospect Owen Martin (2025 3rd) who had three primary assists for Spokane.
