Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Apr 10, 2026

Note: The Jets continue to find themselves in must-win game after must-win game but that is the bed they made for themselves and they seem to be doing just fine as they bucked a home ice advantage trend between Winnipeg and St. Louis (home team had win 11 consecutive games) last night in Missouri as the visitors skated away with a 3-2 victory. They also got some help on the out-of-town scoreboard (as the Predators and Sharks lost) although the Kings did win which means the Jets are three back with four games remaining.

Note II: The Moose were off on Thursday after splitting their two-game set with the Admirals here in Winnipeg and will wrap up the home portion of the regular season with two against the Stars. It’s a rather massive series as Texas sits four points ahead of Manitoba (with one less game left in their season) so a pair of wins could have the home team in 3rd in the Central. But they’ll focus on getting two points tonight. Puck drop at 7 PM CT.

Note III: Big play by Jets prospect Garrett Brown (2022 4th) who set up the game tying goal for Denver with 2:48 left in the 3rd over at the Frozen Four. His Pioneers would win in double OT and are heading to the Championship game on Saturday.
