Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  New wrinkle in crease.  He certainly looked pretty calm, cool and collected as he knocked off the team that drafted him.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Dealing with the Joker.  Interesting talk from all parties as they start to do the dance about potentially signing the Finn to another deal.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hutchinson giving Jets brass something to think about.  Paul talks about how Hutchinson’s play could impact decision making by team brass, modeling after Bruins, Wheeler’s leadership and being envious.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jokinen serious about staying with Jets.  He has earned some high praise from coach Maurice.

Illegal Curve:  Setoguchi has been given a leave of absence.  TSN’s Sara Orlesky broke the news pre-game that the team had given Setoguchi a leave.

Illegal Curve:  2013/14 Team Award winners.  Prior to the start of the game the Jets announced the recipients of the Three team awards (Manitoba Hydro Three Stars, Dan Snyder Memorial Award and Northwest Company Community Service Award) that they give out each season.

TSN:  Draft Lottery Tracker.  Follow the win over the Bruins the Jets moved to the 8th spot and % of winning the draft decreased to 3.6%.

Flames news:

Calgary Sun:  Flames can remove ‘vacancy’ sign from goalie crease.  I watched the game against the Kings the other night and he looked very comfortable in-between the pipes for Calgary.

Calgary Herald:  Flames put once-woeful home record in past, begin to make Saddledome a place to fear again.  For Jets fans who still remember the Smythe Division this won’t be welcome news.
