Winnipeg Free Press:  Fore! Here come the Jets.  Has to be incredibly frustrating for these players who set the playoffs as a goal year after year and just continue to fall short.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Maurice’s bloody souvenir symbolic of his team’s late swoon.  Just like his team the coach took a tough shot tonight.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets 87ed by Pittsburgh.  You can’t help but watch Crosby and think “he is just so good”.  As we evaluate his game you can see how much he helps out his linemates.

Winnipeg Sun:  No magician could pull a rabbit from Jets’ hat.  Paul breaks down some aspects of the game including final nail in the coffin, Ode to Claude, Little consultation, Plan schman, Shift disturber and Who’s corsi?

Winnipeg Sun:  Penguins freeze Jets out of playoff race.  And finally we see the chances are officially at 0%.  No more 0.1% with fans clinging to a false hope.   You just can’t give Crosby these types of chances and expect to win.

Winnipeg Sun:  Zach Redmond scores first goal for Jets since terrible injury two years ago.  When I asked him what it meant to get his first goal of the season he said “It was great.  They are always special.  You’d prefer them to come in a win but second goal of my career, first of the season, so I’m very happy with it”. Have to think he’s happy to finally get that out of the way as he gets acclimatized to the NHL game.

TSN:  Draft Lottery Tracker.  The Jets loss in regulation to the Pens moved them to the 7th spot (they were 8th yesterday) and their % of winning the draft increased to 4.7% (from 3.6%).

Globe and Mail:  Wheeler lifts game to higher level this season.  No question that he has taken his game to the next level this season however he is a team first type of player so he will be disappointed that the Jets failed to make the playoffs.

Pittsburgh Tribune:  Tangradi confidence soaring under new regime in Winnipeg.  Pens media caught up with the  former Pittsburgh player to see where he is at in his development and his thoughts on living in Winnipeg.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice takes puck to the head.  The Jets bench boss took a shot to the noggin but kept on coaching.  Here are some pictures as he got some attention following the shot he took.
