Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Pavs under siege. There is no question that the calls to remove/trade Pavelec have been ringing ever louder from more and more fans this season. Is it too late for the 26 year old netminder or can he still turn it around? What do you think should be done?
Winnipeg Sun: Evander Kane full of untapped potential. He continues to develop as a player and there is no question that he needs the right players on the line to help him reach that potential.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets were lifeless in L.A. and it showed on scoreboard. Kirk’s article discusses the concerns that every time this team appears ready to move forward they take two steps backward.
Winnipeg Sun: Pavelec back on shelf. That was a short lived return for Ondrej Pavelec who lasted just twenty minutes in his first game back since the March 14th game in which he lasted twenty against the Rangers.
TSN: 2014 Draft Lottery Tracker. Good news for Jets fans who want better draft position as the team has moved up to 7th as of last night.
Illegal Curve: Who has had the most disappointing season for the Winnipeg Jets? This sure got the conversation going on a lazy Sunday evening. Plenty of interesting comments. Where do you stand on the issue? Who would you pick as your choice?
Illegal Curve: Recall News – Chiarot, Hutchinson and Redmond get the call. Sunday AM the Jets called up this trio ti help bolster the roster.
Ducks news:
Orange County Register: Kesler leaves the Ducks wondering what could have been (registration required). Have to think the Canucks wouldn’t have wanted to see Kesler remain on the West coast had they chosen to deal him at the deadline.
The National: Selanne is the NHL’s Mr. Nice Guy. There are few athletes that will inspire Winnipeggers like the Finnish Flash. He truly is a one of a kind person and athlete, one that will have fans in this city cheering for years after his playing career ends. Tonight will mark the final time Jets fans get to see him playing against their team as he gets set to retire at the conclusion of this season.
IceCaps news:
The Telegram: Delays and recalls as the IceCaps return from road trip. It was an eventful couple of days for the Jets farm club as they had a bit of a mini slide (lost two games in regulation and one shootout loss), lost three players to the parent club and then had an eventful return to St. John’s. The good news is they don’t play again till Friday so they should have a better idea of what their roster will look like.
