Jets news:
Winnipeg Jets official site: Eric O’Dell recalled. Looks like the Jets have called up the centre to provide some help down the middle which likely means John Albert’s health isn’t great following his injury in Denver.
Winnipeg Free Press: Old-home week. Plenty of trips down memory lane with these returning teams and former Moose members.
Winnipeg Free Press: Five hundred games Slater. A lofty milestone no doubt for the affable and versatile centre.
Winnipeg Sun: Dustin Byfuglien a force at forward. If you listened to the Avs broadcast they kept referencing Buff as this immovable force in front of Varlamov with specific references to his days in Chicago.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets have been model of mediocrity after NHL trade deadline. And therein lies the problem. This team is close but always seems to fall just short. In falling just short they finish with a middle of the pack draft pick. Now they have done well in drafting the past few years but many fans wouldn’t be adverse to seeing a potential game changer (i.e. Eklblad) coming into the fold.
Winnipeg Sun: Jetstream Blog. Ken empties the Notebook from the past few days with a look back at the loss to the Avalanche and ahead to tonight’s game against the Canucks.
Global Winnipeg: Honeymoon over for Winnipeg Jets? Missed this poll the other day. What do you think?
Canucks news:
Vancouver Sun: Canucks in a dither as Henrik Sedin reaches 1000th game. And Jets fans will likely try to not make it such a happy occasion.
CBC: Canucks collapse causes fan backlash. When it rains it pours. It appears that Canucks nation is ready to see some change at the top.
