Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  A look under the hood.  Ed reflects on the road trip and looks ahead as well.  Covers power-play, face-off circle, offensive help, PK, Wheeler & Little heating up,  Bogo injury?, Lowry up?, more starts for Montoya, Scheifele down, Trouba need and a final assessment.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets’ good, bad & ugly.  While the end results were not ideal, the Jets played pretty well during the four game in six night road trip.  He takes a look at the good, bad and ugly of the road adventures.

Winnipeg Sun:  Power-play icebreaker just what the Jets ordered.  While it was nice to see the team get a special teams goal, it is still important to realize that was on a 5 on 3.  The Jets remain1/31 with the man ‘advantage’ and the streak won’t quite be broken until the guys can score 5 on 4.  Ted also looks at the play of Devin Setoguchi who has to go back to junior hockey to recall last time he was on the point.

CBC:  30 Thoughts by Elliotte Friedman.  For anyone who missed this late addition to yesterday’s Jets news, Friedman covered a couple of points about Jets in his popular column, including #7 (re;Jets scouts at a Sabres game) & #10 (Coach Noel’s stress).

Illegal Curve:  Enstrom turns down chance to play for Sweden at Olympics.  Interesting to read reports that the dynamic defenceman would prefer to stay and focus on his commitment to the Jets.

The Telegram:  Redmond isn’t ready to go, Chiarot is gone as IceCaps prepare to face Pirates.  With all the injuries to the Jets defensive core, the ranks are rather thin on the Rock.
