Winnipeg Free Press:  Strangely normal.  Fans are getting excited as they start to see their favourite players around the city again as the third season is set to begin.

Winnipeg Sun:  Seeing stars and stripes.  Ken catches up with Zach Bogosian about his quest to become an Olympian.

Winnipeg Sun:  The first rule of head shots….  Ken attempted to discuss the heat shot Bogosian received but the first rule of fight club applies in hockey as well.

The Score:  Useful hockey player Ron Hainsey remains available for service.  A late addition to yesterday’s papers so throwing it in today’s morning  papers for readers who may have missed it.  Are you surprised to see the former Jets defenceman still on the market?

NHL news:

Globe and Mail:  Teemu Selanne says he’s returning for 21st and final NHL season.  You can bet we will be talking to Ducks radio colour analyst Dan Wood on today’s show about the excitement in Anaheim over the return of the Finnish Flash.  Jets fans who selected the October 6th game against the Ducks will be happy to see Selanne return for his last visit (on the ice) in Winnipeg.  Be sure to watch the video below in which he announces his return.  Classic.
