Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Buff out again; Bogosian still a week away. Without a doubt the most curious injury to fell a Jet to date. Regardless of the origin Buff remains unavailable today. Good news it Bogosian is close.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets expect Pavs to stay in sick bay, Montoya to start. Unfortunate for the Jets number one tender to be sick, but hopefully it will allow Montoya to shake off the lockout rust.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets add a Little dash of changes. Coach Noel needed to do something to get his lines working again. Will this be the cure for what ails the team? Stay tuned!
Winnipeg Free Press: The PK is far from ok. Best way to avoid PK troubles……get Byfuglien and Bogosian healthy as soon as possible. While people might suggest this is simply making excuses, when you lose two of your biggest defensive studs from your lineup, they are not easily replaced as it evidenced by the Jets woeful penalty kill.
Winnipeg Sun: Redmond getting better, Thorburn talks roomies. He has steadily improved as he has played more and his confidence level matches his skills. Chris didn’t think he would like losing his room mate on the road (Mark Stuart) but he is learning that there are some advantages.
Winnipeg Sun: Homecoming for Clitsome. Having at least 40 family and friends in the crowd cannot be cheap but sometimes you cannot put a price tag on this opportunity.
Winnipeg Sun: Top line reunited. Will this reunion special last? Coach Noel is looking to spark some offence so he is returning to his top line from last season.
Winnipeg Sun: Wheeler a minus – 9. The numbers across the board for the Jets are not good. Time to change it up as they have a very tough stretch of opponent upcoming.
Winnipeg Sun: Ladd bobblehead gets around NYC. Our boy Constantine (jetsxoxo) is again making waves, except this time he isn’t in a NHL lockout meeting. Instead he is taking Andrew Ladd (as a bobblehead) to the UN and to various other NY institutions.
Illegal Curve: Coach Noel scrum. Pavelec has flu like symptoms (did not look good). Not determined if Montoya will start tomorrow. Line juggling. Possibly going back to Ladd/Little/Wheeler. Status of Dustin Byfuglien (remains day to day, will not be in lineup against Senators). Talking plus/minus – is it problem of chemistry? Bothersome areas. Senators sans Spezza. Pavelec’s save percentage.
Jets prospect news:
Barrie Colts official site: Colts double up Whalers. In his first game action since being returned from the Jets, Scheifele gets a goal and assist in return.
