Note: The Jets stayed off the ice on Wednesday as they got set for three games in four days which begins this evening with the Oilers. The team did hold media availability at which time we learned that Haydn Fleury, who suffered a broken nose and other injuries after a hard slide into the boards, had been discharged from hospital and had joined his teammates at the arena in the AM. I thought the message from Josh Morrissey to the fan base was an important one to share. There was a notable development in the afternoon as the team announced that they had recalled prospect Danny Zhilkin for the first time. Might there be an NHL debut this evening? Stay tuned to morning skate for Winnipeg gets underway at 10:30 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Edmonton, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 9:40 PM CST.
Note III: The Moose used Wednesday as a travel day as they get set to face the Admirals in Milwaukee as they kick off a six-game road trip. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Note IV: Did Jets prospect Kieron Walton (2024 6th) play his final game last night in a Sudbury jersey? Tomorrow is the OHL Trade Deadline and there is plenty of speculation that he could be on the move from the Wolves. He is having another excellent season. His best friend and fellow Winnipeg prospect Kevin He (2024 4th) was already traded this season having gone from Niagara to Flint. He was in action last night where he scored a goal and added an assist for the 1st place Firebirds last night.

Winnipeg Sun: We need you now: Jets coach Scott Arniel to fans. With this run of home games the team is hoping to capture some lightning in a bottle.
Winnipeg Sun: Fleury provides morale boost for Jets teammates. Had to be a big boost to see him at the rink the day after he sustained the injury.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ Arniel demands more effort to spark turnaround. (Paywall). There is no question that some players are just not performing at sufficient levels right now.
Winnipeg Free Press: Moose’s Zhilkin on verge of making NHL debut. (Paywall). Well deserved for the Ontario product.
Sportsnet: What some teams are weighing ahead of trade deadline. Kyper weighs in (print edition) with a look at the Jets. He discusses the team moving on from the coach but I don’t see that happening. He does mention them likely dealing expiring contracts of players like Luke Schenn. That seems much more likely.
Sportsnet: Jets mid-season report: Nowhere to go but up. Hate to be that guy but they could always stay in the same spot. Poor joke aside Ryan goes over the state of things, his best surprise, biggest disappointment, second half question and more.
