Note: The Jets were off on Thursday but will return to the ice as they look to keep the good vibes rolling after kicking off the homestand with a win, which was their second straight victory. Morning skate for Winnipeg gets underway at 10:30 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Note II: Drew, Ezra and I will bring you up to speed on all that happened at morning skate at Canada Life Centre and then look ahead to puck drop on a Special Edition of Illegal Curve Hockey starting at 12 noon CST. We’ll also discuss the five-year extension signed by captain Adam Lowry on Wednesday as well as the rumour that prospect Brad Lambert is seeking to be traded elsewhere.
Note III: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Carolina, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 9:40 PM CST.
Note III: If I told you that for the first time in the 30 year history of Moose 1.0, IceCaps & Moose 2.0 they didn’t register a shot in a period at home, would you believe they won the game? Despite that ignominious distinction Manitoba indeed won the game 2-1 as prospect goalie Thomas Milic was excellent as he helped his club improve to 8-6-2 which vaults them into a tie for 2nd spot in the Central. They are scheduled to practice today.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: The Jets need more offence from the defence, Hurricanes in town. It was a major discussion point prior to last game when they erupted for three goals from the backend.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets shine light on former teammate protocol with Ehlers rolling into town. (Paywall). Lots of funny lines directed his way and you can see they are said with good feeling directed at the Dynamic Dane.
The Athletic Winnipeg: With Adam Lowry extension Jets go all-in on a player, a core, and an era. (Paywall). To me this actually begins when the team starts to deal prospects in order to round out their team.
Jets video:
Sportsnet: Conversation with Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. Nick Kypreos and Justin Bourne spend close to twenty minutes talking with the GM about his hockey club.
