Note: After winning their third straight game on Saturday when they defeated the previously top ranked Penguins, the Jets took Sunday off. The team is back on the ice today for a practice before they head out west on a six-game road trip. With the captain nearing a return might today be the day Adam Lowry‘s contract extension gets announced? As well we should get an update on Gustav Nyquist. Check back for the Practice Report.
Note II: The Moose played the Stars yesterday which saw them tie the game in the 3rd period off a Kale Clague blast, fail to capitalize on a late in the game double minor and then ultimately lose in overtime which means their win streak becomes a points streak.
Note III: You have an opportunity to own some IC merch as we’ve opened up the Merch store with new offers including a limited edition NewEra 39Thirty hat. Check it all out here.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Vlad Namestnikov, a rotating and crucial component for the Jets. He may not be Swiss but he’s is versatile like a Swiss army knife with his ability to play centre/wing and his ability to blend with new linemates.
Winnipeg Sun: Kyle Connor makes Jets history with rare short-handed penalty-shot goal. Even though I’ve covered this team since they moved to the city I was unaware of that factoid.
