Note: The Jets skated on Sunday which saw the return of Jonathan Toews after missing time since last Tuesday night’s game in St. Paul and the absence of Cole Perfetti who left the game on Friday in Calgary. Coach delivered bad news on Perfetti indicating he has an ankle injury and is out week-to-week which is tough news. His loss may be prospect Nikita Chibrikov‘s gain as the recently extended forwarded found himself in Perfetti’s spot. There was a bit of a surprise yesterday as we expected Winnipeg to put Walker Duehr on waivers (which happened) but they also put Ville Heinola on it as well. The team are off today but they do have to submit their 23-man roster by 4 PM CDT which means they’ll need to make at least one more move (send either Brad Lambert or Parker Ford or both) to the AHL.
Note II: The Moose held an intra squad game on Sunday where the winner was Manitoba. Wink Wink. They held it out in Steinbach at the new arena which looked really good. They will have another today with the non-game group skating at 9:30 AM and the game group skating at 10:30 AM. They’ll face the Bisons tonight at 7 PM at Canada Life Centre.
Note III: Just one Jets prospect got on the board last night as Kevin He (2024 4th) had a hat trick of assists for Niagara on Sunday.
