Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: Training camp for the Jets gets underway this week and on Friday we learned who made the 55-man training camp roster and the first couple of weeks of the training camp schedule.

Note II: On Sunday night in Montreal the Jets prospects concluded their attendance at the Prospect Showdown with a game against the Senators young guns. Finding themselves down by one it was a nice pass by Danny Zhilkin over to Ben Zloty who made a nifty move to tie the game. It was a mix of 2nd rounders when Nikita Chibrikov was taken out which resulted in some Swede on Swede anger. They got the lead when a trio of prospects combined on the power play (perhaps some Moose foreshadowing). With the game in OT it was Danny Zhilkin, who scored the GWG last night, went end to end and while he didn’t bury it, the puck went to Fabian Wagner who won the game for Winnipeg.
