Note: The Jets signed two of their RFAs this week getting Morgan Barron done on Monday and Tyrel Bauer on Tuesday. They’ve still gotta ink Dylan Samberg and Gabriel Vilardi (arbitration dates run from July 20 through August 4) as well as Parker Ford.

Note II: Reminder that we are officially on summer hiatus for the Illegal Curve Hockey Show which means no more Saturday shows until the first week of September.

Note III: The Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s newest team, the Winnipeg Monarchs will play out of the HockeyforAllCentre this season! They are looking for volunteers for a variety of positions including Billet Families to host players in their homes for the season. All players are able to drive themselves or carpool. They have a pretty full schedule between games, practices, workouts, volunteering, and possibly school, or work. So they mainly need a bedroom, and most meals that aren’t provided by the team, a monthly stipend of $450/player billeted goes towards helping those costs. It’s a chance to connect with the community, and support the development of talented young athletes as they pursue their hockey dreams! And also, FREE SEASON TICKETS! What was his defining moment as a Jet — and does he have any regrets from his time in Winnipeg?

And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
