Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: The Jets and Stars series shifted to Dallas last night where the home team took Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead although the game was marred by a controversial goal which turned out to be the game-winning one as they won 5-2. While a lot of the focus was on the controversial one the bigger deal is that away from Winnipeg the Jets still haven’t won a game on the road in the playoffs (0-4) which is a strange place to be for the best regular season road team. They will need to change that formula if they want to return to Manitoba with a split series. Today they will practice at 1 PM CDT so stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: Tonight on TSN1 you can watch Game 3 between London (Jacob Julien) and Oshawa (Colby Barlow) as the pair of Jets prospect duel it out for a chance to  win the OHL Championship series. Puck drop is at 6 PM CDT.

Global News: 2 goals in 49 seconds sink Winnipeg Jets in controversial Game 3 loss to Stars. The fact is regardless of how “rattled” the Jets were by the controversial goal they cannot allow the insurance marker just 49 seconds later. That isn’t acceptable of a team that should be way better structured than that.

Sportsnet: Stars’ Marchment escapes discipline for stick tap on referee. That is an embarrassing decision by the NHL. While he doesn’t deserve 10 games I cannot wait till they suspend someone for doing the exact same team. And mark my words you absolutely know it will happen.
