Note: The Jets got chased out of Enterprise Center last night in St. Louis as they fell in game 6 by a final score of 5-2. With the Blues forcing a game 7 tomorrow here in Winnipeg it will be the first time ever in the NHL history of this city that they will host a seventh game in a series. The Jets have scheduled a media availability for today at 1 pm and we’ll have it covered.

Note II: 11 hours after the Jets and Blues concluded game 6 we bring you two hours of hockey talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show. And there is quite a lot to discuss so be sure you join us starting at 9 AM CDT. We will be joined by Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press and Jesse Granger of The Athletic Vegas.

Note III: We learned on Friday that the Jets have recalled Brayden Yager from junior now that his season is over and he’s joined up with the taxi squad out at the hockey for all centre. Here are some observations from yesterday.

Note IV: Lastly should mention that on Friday we also learned that Jets head coach Scott Arniel was named a finalist for the Jack Adams as coach of the year.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Connor Hellebuyck yanked again on the road as Blues force Game 7 with Jets. Not sure the two-time, soon to be three-time Vezina winner will ever want to play in St. Louis again after these last three games. Not to say that this game was all on him. ‘Cause if you watched if you know that the attention to detail was lacking from a lot of players.

Winnipeg Free Press: Another Jets’ stinker in St. Louis leaves home the only possible cure for the Blues. (Paywall). Mike was inside the building last night and he gives you his account of how things played out.

The Athletic: Blues chase Connor Hellebuyck, rout Jets to force Game 7. (Paywall). Murat and Jeremy combine for this piece on their takeaways from the game.

NHL.com: Jets remain confident in Hellebuyck after Game 6 loss. I think it would be crazier if they said something to the opposite effect. But this loss isn’t on 37 alone.

Global News: Disastrous 2nd period sinks Winnipeg in 5-2 Game 6 loss in St. Louis. It looked good for most of the middle frame but in a sequence that lasted just over five minutes they got absolutely torched. And even worse didn’t have a response that could help them stem the bleeding.

Jets video:

TSN: Hellebuyck’s road struggles continue as Blues force a Game 7 against the JetsConnor Hellebuyck was pulled before the start of the third period in Game 6 against the Blues Friday night after allowing five goals on 23 shots across the first 40 minutes of play. TSN Hockey analysts Jamie McLennan, Frankie Corrado and Kevin Sawyer join Lindsay Hamilton to break down Hellebuyck’s struggles in St. Louis, if the Jets’ defence deserves part of the blame, and more.

Sportsnet: Why Hellebuyck’s road playoff struggles come down to confidence issues. Elliotte Friedman joins Martine Gaillard and Faizal Khamisa to discuss Connor Hellebuyck’s playoff struggles, specifically on the road, why his home-road splits are night and day, and how the Jets can reset their mindset for Game 7.
