Note: There was a lot going on yesterday in Winnipeg as the Jets and Blues did battle in a critical game 5. The Jets began the game on time, dealt with some adversity with Mark Scheifele leaving the game/not returning after the 1st intermission and then holding serve in the final 40 on way to a 5-3 win which gave them a 3-2 series edge. Despite the victory Jets head coach Scott Arniel was not happy with Blues bench boss Jim Montgomery talking about how the injury to 55 occurred. We shall have to wait and see if there is an update on 55 as there wasn’t one post-game. The team will hold a media availability today at 12:15 PM CDT so check back for that in the Practice Report.
Note II: Some good news/bad news from the world of Jets prospects on Wednesday night. In the OHL 2023 5th rounder Jacob Julien had two assists as his London squad won the Western Conference Final defeating Kitchener four games to none. It was their 12th straight victory (which if you’re doing the math means they haven’t lost once in the playoffs). They’ll likely face Colby Barlow (2023 1st) and his Oshawa team who are up 3-0 in their Eastern Conference Finals with Barrie. Over in the WHL it was tough news for Brayden Yager (2023 1st) who saw his Lethbridge club get swept by Medicine Hat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Jets news:
