Note: The Jets and Kings did battle in Los Angeles last night which saw the visitors make a number of sloppy mistakes of which the home team took advantage leading them to a 4-1 victory. The loss was just the 20th one Winnipeg has suffered in regulation. The team is off today and will be back in action tomorrow night when they face the Golden Knights in Vegas.
Note II: The Moose were also in action on Tuesday night against their former head coach Pascal Vincent and his new squad the Rocket which was his first time back in Winnipeg as an AHL bench boss. During the game the team honoured him. The home team made it close with the captain scoring two goals in the 3rd period but close is only good enough in horseshoes and Manitoba fell 3-2 to Laval. The re-match is tonight at 7 PM CDT.
Note III: Jets defenceman Neal Pionk was seen skating with his teammates in L.A. on Tuesday as he works way back from injury. Latest here.
Note IV: Catching up with the prospects in action in both the OHL and WHL last night a total of six players played. Kevin He (2024 4th) had 2G as Niagara cut their series deficit in half. Colby Barlow (2023 1st) had 2A as Oshawa picked up a game 3 win to take a 2-1 edge in their series. Kieron Walton (2024 6th) had an assist as Sudbury finds themselves down 0-3 in their series. While Brayden Yager (2023 1st), Markus Loponen (2024 5th) and Jacob Julien (2023 5th) were all held pointless yesterday all of their teams won and each one of their teams is up 3-0 in their respective series.
