Note: The Jets continued to roll on Sunday picking up their third straight victory as they dispatched the Canucks by a final score of 3-1. With the win they were able to put some ground between themselves and the Capitals (3 points) in the Presidents’ Trophy race and the Stars (6 points) in the battle for top spot in the Central although both of these teams have a game in hand. After the game we did get an update on Rasmus Kupari who is back in protocol and there is some uncertainty about Eric Comrie‘s availability as he and his wife are expecting. So the expectation is the team will recall a forward and potentially a goalie as well. The team will travel today to Los Angeles to bring three games on the road.
Note II: The Moose are back in Winnipeg where they will begin six straight games at home starting with former bench boss Pascal Vincent and his Rocket team tomorrow night. Today they will practice so stay tuned for the Practice Report.
Note III: A number of prospects were in action on Sunday. In the OHL Colby Barlow (2023 1st) scored on a wicked one-timer but his Oshawa club fell which evened their series 1-1. Kieron Walton (2024 6th) had 1G 2A (both primary) for Sudbury but they fell in double OT and find themselves down 0-2 in their series. Over in the WHL Connor Levis (2023 7th) had 1G 1A for his hometown Vancouver club but they lost and are down 0-2.
