Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: The Jets are in our nation’s capital today as they look to keep their record setting 10 game win streak alive against the Senators. They used Tuesday as a travel day so we will have to wait and see if Morgan Barron, who is reportedly close, is ready to return to the lineup. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Ottawa, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 8:40 PM CST.

Note III: The Moose will also be taking on the Senators although they’ll be taking them on in Belleville. They’ll be looking to keep things rolling after their win in Toronto on Sunday. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Winnipeg Sun: Nik Ehlers focused on Cup, not contract, in historic season for Jets. Might this be the final season we see 27 in a Jets uniform? He wasn’t telling Paul as he continues the same manner of responding to that line of questioning that he had during training camp. 

Winnipeg Free Press: Coming up on the History Channel… the Winnipeg Jets. (Paywall). Things do feel different this season and Mike wrote about how it could be quite historic in his latest column about the NHL team in Winnipeg.

Daily Faceoff: The Jets are downright dangerous – should they stay the course ahead of NHL Trade Deadline? We are getting closer and closer to the deadline and there are so many variables that are still being factored in. I suspect that Winnipeg won’t be doing their work until the actual deadline day to avoid having to put anyone on waivers.

Ottawa Citizen: Senators captain Brady Tkachuk may not be ready for takeoff against Winnipeg Jets. Sounds like the Jets opponent will have a few question marks this evening.
