TSN:   Falcons double up IceCaps in season opener.  An unfortunate start to the 2012-13 season for the Jets AHL affiliate last night.

The Telegram:  Back to basics for Klingberg.  The Jets prospect needs to figure out how to maintain a consistency throughout the season.  Of course if it was easy, all players would do it, but hopefully with the help of Caps coach Keith McCambridge, he will figure it out.

CBA news:

CBC:  NHL labour talks may resume Tuesday.  Heaven forbid they meet during the weekend.  Guess they need the time off to not meet.

City News:  Hockey fans protest NHL lockout outside ACC.  Not a large turnout as fans try to find ways to get their message to the NHL.

WHA news:

Calgary Sun:  Top 10 failed WHA franchises.  Not every WHA team was a Winnipeg Jets.  For every successful team there was a Denver Spurs or Miami Screaming Eagles.
