Note: The Jets didn’t have much doing in the first 30 minutes of last night’s contest but hockey games are 60 minute affairs and in the second half they got things rolling to the tune of four straight goals on their way to a 4-2 victory. That was the 26th victory of the season in game 37. To put that into perspective last year they got their 26th win in game 39 and in 2017-18 they got it in game 44. Both of these seasons Winnipeg finished with 52 wins. They are now halfway there with 45 games left. If they can maintain their current winning percentage that puts them on pace to win 32 which would smash the record. Today they are scheduled to practice at 12 noon so stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose hit the ice for practice on Saturday morning although they were absent one player as Winnipeg 2020 2nd rounder Daniel Torgersson had been placed on waivers for purposes of contract termination. This isn’t a big surprise for the now former prospect who never found his footing here in North America. He should clear waivers and will likely be heading back overseas which we’ll find out about around 1 PM CST. And then an hour later his former team will be in action as Manitoba welcomes Texas to town for a pair of games. Puck drop is at 2 PM CST.
