Note: The Jets were off on Saturday and they will stay off the ice today to instead do some team bonding away from the rink. Of course the team will have to make further cuts to the roster as they currently have 29 on it and have to get down to 23 by tomorrow at 4 PM CT. Ville Heinola and Logan Stanley are expected to start the season on IR which means they’ll have four moves to make. Of course they could send down Brad Lambert, Nikita Chibrikov and Elias Salomonsson and then only need to choose between goalies Eric Comrie and Kaapo Kahkonen to expose to waivers to be roster compliant. Head coach Scott Arniel did at one point say he’d like a 22-man roster so we shall see what he chooses to do. Stay tuned for that.

Note II: The Moose began the day by announcing they had reduced their training camp roster by two players. They then played an intrasquad game on Saturday with prospect Chaz Lucius playing a significant role as per play-by-play voice Daniel Fink. The Jets 2021 1st rounder was quite thoughtful talking about what is likely to be the most important season of his young career. They are scheduled to skate today at 10 AM CDT at hockey for all centre.

Note III: Casting our eyes on Jets prospects playing on Saturday night Brayden Yager continued to roll along since returning to junior putting up 1G 2A in his second game of the season with Moose Jaw which gives him 3G 2A in two games. Over in the OHL, Kieron Walton (2024 6th) has had a good start to his season as he scored last night for Sudbury which gives him 2G 5A for 7 points in four games.
