Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: On Tuesday we learned our schedule for the next few weeks with the release of the training camp schedule and the Jets also released the 53 player roster of who is scheduled to be at training camp. On Wednesday the Jets further clarified the two groups at camp which gets underway today at 10 AM.

Note II: The big question mark which will finally get answered today is will we see Cole Perfetti on the ice with Team Neufeld at 10 AM? He was listed by the Jets as one of the 53 participants in camp but as far as we know he remains unsigned. Stay tuned.

Note III: Ahead of camp our new writer Connor Hrabchak looked ahead to five training camp storylines.

Note IV: While it’s not a current Jets story, fans tend to love anything related to Dustin Byfuglien. His former agent Ben Hankinson was on The Sota Pod and was asked about number 33. He told quite the story about the Minnesotan.

Winnipeg Sun: Training camp opens with youthful hope. This has a very 2016 feel when the organization knew they’d have to undergo some pain as they allowed their youth to grow up.

Global News: Perfetti, Jets need to come together on contract talks as training camp kicks off. It really seems quite odd that based on everything that is being said these two sides remain at an impasse.
