Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ direction fuzzy, confusing after free agency opens. Personally I don’t see the idea of finding a stop gap like Adam Henrique for two years rather than Sean Monahan who would block prospects for the next five as inconsistent. And Cheveldayoff has often mentioned prospects like Perfetti and Heinola as good pieces but the problem seemed to be the veteran coach who chose not to necessarily use them in the way the GM may have been hoping he would. Similarly other prospects could also see a bump.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets hopefuls out to impress. (Paywall). Full 2024 and 2023 draft classes are in Winnipeg and quite a few of the guys from 2022 as well. Should be a fun few days at hockey for all centre.
