Note: In the episode of 32 Thoughts which was released on Sunday the discussion moved to free agency and Marek kicked things off asking Friedman about Jets Dman Brenden Dillon. Nothing too earth shattering in his comments with the insider indicating he expects Dillon to hit the market.
Note II: Have to think that the Jets assistant/associate coaching search comes to some sort of resolution this week. The introductory presser with new Winnipeg head coach Scott Arniel was two weeks ago today when he indicated “…we’ll work hard this week to put a staff together…”. In the informal scrum that took place moments later he was asked a follow-up question about his timeline and said “I wanna to get ahead of some of these teams ’cause there are a lot of teams looking. If you wait too long you can box yourself out….I’m going to move forward as quick as possible.”.

TSN: GMs express desire to tweak LTIR salary cap rules for playoffs. Given the shenanigans we’ve seen (even if they were legal) folks won’t be upset to see the NHL make adjustments to ensure this gets fixed in the future.
