Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: The Jets held a quick practice on Thursday afternoon as they tried to work out some kinks in their game in advance of their game this evening against Anaheim to conclude three straight at home. Morning skate for the Jets gets underway at 10:30 AM CDT. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.

Note III: The Moose kick off perhaps the most important two-game set of the season this evening in Chicago as they look to put some distances between themselves and the Wolves when it comes to the fifth and final playoff spot in the Central. Manitoba has a three point edge but Chicago has one game in hand. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ Rick Bowness won’t reveal the “it” affecting team. The malaise of inconsistency is hampering Winnipeg which has seen them go good game (Seattle), bad game (Vancouver), good game (Washington), bad game (Nashville). 

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets need to prove they can compete with the NHL’s best. (Paywall). What’s that saying? You want to be the best, you need to beat the best. Time for the Jets to put that to the test next week in New York State.
