Note: The Jets were traveling to Vancouver yesterday as they got ahead of the two hour time change by getting to the city a day earlier than normal. Usually they would have practiced Thursday (or had a day off) and maybe even this morning before they took off for the west coast but instead are already settled in British Columbia where they will practice this afternoon at Rogers Arena as they prepare for tomorrow’s game against the Canucks. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose also were traveling on Thursday except they were coming from the west (Calgary) where they concluded a nine straight games on the road with a shootout win on Wednesday night against the Wranglers. They are scheduled to practice today as they prepare for six straight at home which begins with the undefeated in 2024 Milwaukee Admirals tomorrow afternoon. It’s Chaz Lucius mini bobblehead giveaway game for first 3000 fans. We will have tickets to giveaway so make sure you’re following me on twitter to be alerted. Also stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note III: Did a fun story on Thursday on the Liebsack family from Savannah, Georgia and their journey to Winnipeg to see a Jets game and experience some Canadian hospitality. Read it here.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets locker room layout designed for bonding, building relationships. (Paywall). Mike with an interesting read on the reasons for the configuration of the locker room.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets effort against San Jose a sign offence is returning. They directed over 80 shots towards the net and had 24 high danger chances in the game. Are they missing out on opportunities. Absolutely. Are some guys mired in slumps so they are gripping the sticks a little more tightly? Absolutely again. But if they continue to possess the puck and generate the puck should be finding the back of the net more and also worth noting that it’s harder to score at this time of year.

Jets prospect news:

The Athletic: Jets are No. 16 in 2024 NHL prospect pool rankings. (Paywall). I can definitely appreciate what he’s saying about Chaz Lucius as you can definitely see the skillset. The prospect just needs to stay healthy for an extended period of time.

Jets video:

TSN: Should the Winnipeg Jets be looking to add another forward? The Jets scoring struggles continued Wednesday night despite the 1-0 victory over the Sharks. TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joins SC with Jay Onrait to share his thoughts on why the Jets offence is struggling and whether the Jets should be looking to add another forward.
